99 yards!! Victor Cruz flew down the sideline after catching a pass from Eli Manning. That’s the Victor Cruz Giants fans remember. Not the image of him crumpled on the ground in the end zone suffering from a torn patellar tendon.
The journey has been long and drawn out for #80.He was so close last year to coming back before suffering a calf injury that would sideline him for the entire season. Most recently he suffered from a groin injury that kept him out of practice until this week. The news coming out of the Giants camp finally has a positive tone. While many people doubt Victor Cruz and his ability to come back (Myself included) he has the grit, fortitude, and resiliency to make this comeback a reality.
He was monster contributor to the Giants 2011 super bowl run as he was the only Giants receiver to catch a touchdown pass in the super bowl. To go along with his post season success Victor’s (Franchise record) 1,536 receiving yards propelled the Giants to the playoffs. Whether or not Victor Cruz is able to complete his comeback he is a Giant hero in my eyes. He has done enough for this organization and provided many highlights that will always be enjoyable to watch. He has earned the chances this organization is giving him to make this comeback.
