Giants Vs Cowboys Week 14 Review
The defense has done it again. The Off season of spending has truly been the reason the Giants are 9-4 and are in a great position to get the wild card. No one gave the Giants a chance to win this game especially not after the loss to Pittsburgh. They did it and it was not pretty it was a defensive struggle and the offense was putrid. If not for OBJ’s 61 yard touchdown they did just about nothing. Janoris Jenkins was the best player on the field today.
Postives
Janoris “JackRabbit” Jenkins
Played one of the best games of his career today and definitely his best as a Giant. He locked down Dez Bryant and held him to 1 catch which he fumbled.
Janoris worth every $$$ #GiantsPride

Replacing JPP
There was a combination of players to replace JPP. Romeo Okwara and Devon Kennard did a great job making the Giants forget about not having JPP. Okwara had a sack and 8 tackles while Kennard had 6 tackles a sack and a FF. Both players made plays all game and showed that there is hope without JPP.
The Entire Secondary
Eli Apple Played well and DRC was always around the ball. He made plays that popped off the screen. They did their job all night and only had one big mistake on the TD to Williams.
Spags Gameplan
Spagnuolo wouldn’t let Dak sit back there and be comfortable. He had somebody in his face the whole game and it worked. He drew up exotic blitzes that got home against the best O-line in football. Game plans like that will have people calling him for a head coaching position in the off season.
Negatives
The Offense
Well the offense continues its abysmal season. They tried to lose this game at almost every turn and the D still bailed them out. Eli cant continue to play the way he has and the blocking was just not good enough. Its been the same thing all year and it just wont change. The offense is bad the Defense is amazing.
Ereck Flowers
He had one of his worst halfs as a pro in this one. He had multiple pressures and let up a sack. To his credit he did play better in the second half, but he has been terrible the second half of the season. We need him to be better if we want to make noise in the playoffs.
Overall
It seems to be the same story every week. The defense does all it can and this time they did just enough. The Defense played lights out specifically the secondary. The Giants have put themselves into a position to secure the 5th seed in the NFC and make a run for the rest of the season and maybe into the playoffs.
Up Next
We have the Lions coming up who play close games just like the Giants. They are coming into the game hot and Stafford is having his best season of his career so it wont be easy. Giants secondary matches up very well though.
