The Giants and WR Odell Beckham Jr have agreed to terms on a $95 million with $65 million guaranteed
After a long offseason, the Giants and OBJ have finally agreed on a contract. There were some unsubstantiated reports coming out in the offseason suggesting OBJ would get traded. Ultimately the detractors were proven wrong and OBJ became the highest paid WR in the league, and rightfully so. OBJ has earned this contract.
What the Giants need now is for him to continue to earn it by becoming a leader for this team. There is an opportunity here on this young squad for OBJ to step into a major leadership role. Odell is the heartbeat of this team and the Giants paid him like it.
The 2018 season will be a huge test. Becoming a leader will be no small task for OBJ. He has to show the maturity and poise like the veteran that he is. OBJ is no longer a kid. He got his money and now he needs to show the Giants it was the right decision.
