Giants Add Franchise LT Nate Solder 4/yrs 62 M
The New York Giants have finally addressed their offensive line and in a big way. The Giants have inked former Patriots T Nate Solder to a 4 yr deal worth up to 62 million with 34.8 Million guaranteed. This impact of this signing cannot be understated, and all Giants fans should be ecstatic. This move guarantees that Ereck Flowers is done as a LT for the Giants. Some will say they overpaid for an older Tackle who has never made a pro bowl in his 7-year career. I see it as the Giants paying for past failures specifically Ereck Flowers. Nate Solder is a good player who can hopefully do well for the Giants.
After the Nate Solder move the Offensive line is starting to come into focus a little. Ereck Flowers will most likely be given a shot at RT. So it would look something like this

RT Ereck Flowers
This would be an upgrade over what we had last year. As bad as Ereck Flowers was on the left side, he could be a decent RT he has the strength to maul and he will get help from TE’s Evan Engram and Rhett Elison. Brett Jones and Jon Halapio showed the Giants they can play down the stretch last season both starting the last 6 games. Whether the Giants draft QB, RB, or OL with their top pick this year they will be thankful Nate Solder is blocking for them or alongside them.
